I’m a support engineer at Automattic for WordPress VIP, which offers a platform for corporations, large organizations, and government agencies using WordPress as a CMS.
Background
I graduated with a B.A. in French from the University of Florida and continued my interest in HTML and JavaScript as a student, leading me to becoming the part-time webmaster for the Department of Anthropology.
I started building and maintaining static websites for faculty as a student and after graduation. Over the years, I worked up to building and managing a WordPress hosting service for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences with over 500 sites. In the years I spent as a web developer at the university, my focus has always been on creating online tools for the higher education community
I spent the next 3 years as a freelance WordPress developer and web support specialist working fully remotely helping to troubleshoot SEO problems as a remote Support Engineer for Yoast SEO.
I joined Automattic in 2021 on a fully-remote team helping to solve problems for large-scale WordPress websites.
Other Interests
When I’m not in front of a screen working, you can find me traveling, enjoying time with family, exploring virtual worlds, and using technology to learn languages.
