People.clas.ufl.edu is the hosting service for faculty and graduate student websites launched for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

This multisite installation of WordPress was created to take advantage of the features of a web content management system and to move away from the problems of maintaining static websites. This introduced a new common theme for the college to help ensure consistency.

Skills Used

  • Configuring WordPress multisite and installing appropriate plugins for the service
  • Planning and creating a request form for creating new sites
  • Helping and training faculty and staff to migrate from legacy sites to WordPress
  • Developing and maintaining a responsive theme based on the UF template design
